The Prospector kit features a "cold contact" part of the thermoelectric circuit. Before conducting a test, ensure that a cold circuit is connected to the Alloy Sorter's BNC connector. Placing a metal specimen onto the block establishes an excellent contact between the test metal and the cold circuit.
The Light Copper Block is ideal for use with non-clamp or delicate plated surfaces. It can also securely hold cylindrical and spherical bearings, as well as small parts. Its substantial weight allows it to sit firmly on a workbench. Use a 6-foot male-to-male BNC cable to connect the TEAS. This accessory is particularly great for bearings and cylindrical rods.
