Details

Metal standards coupons, are conveniently packaged in a handsome lightweight carrying case. Metals can be identified wherever they are: out in the field, plant, warehouse, lab, or production line.

These metal standards are primarily intended to use with the 1899 Combination Lab, but can be used with any KOSLOW kit. The metals are a selection of some of the commonly used steels, nickel, copper and aluminum alloys. They serve three important functions. Firstly, these metals can help identify an unknown by comparing the color intensity. Secondly, they may be used to test solution shelf-life, since a positive test result indicates a solution of sufficient strength. Finally, test they are very useful in helping the user become familiar with spot testing of metals using KOSLOW'S ElectroSpot technique.
